Veturipullo was made as a souvenir at Riihimäen Lasi Oy to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Riihimäki-St. Petersburg line in 1970. At that time, about 15,000 bottles were made, of which the first 1,000 were mouth-blown, the rest were made by machine.
